Territorial concessions are the chief topic of the trilateral dialogue.
Representatives of the United States, Russia, and Ukraine met in Abu Dhabi on Friday for two days of discussions. It is the first time trilateral talks have been held since Russia invaded Ukraine nearly four years ago.
U.S. negotiators, led by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, had engaged Russian President Vladimir Putin in meetings in Moscow prior to the talks in Abu Dhabi.
The discussion will include dialogue regarding Russia’s insistence on Ukraine relinquishing certain territories, such as Donbas, which Ukraine has objected to releasing. The territorial stand-off has been the main obstacle to a ceasefire.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Envoy Witkoff and U.S. negotiators to receive God’s wisdom as they seek peace between Russia and Ukraine.
- For the ministers and heads of state of the two warring nations to make necessary concessions for a ceasefire.
